Park Ranger was super helpful, set up camp at the wrong park and he called and quickly changed my reservation and made the process painless and super easy!

Very quiet and clean park. Staff was friendly, and bathrooms were clean. No swimming allowed. Nice hiking trials and from Griffin’s Whirl observation deck you can see a unique reserve flow from its waters.

I love visiting Lumber River State Park. The trails are nice, and the park is well maintained. There is beautiful scenery of the Lumber River, great fishing, and wonderful picnic areas. If using Apple Maps, be sure to put Orrum, NC into the address, as Apple Maps will take you to the Chalk Banks access in Wagram. The river does flood after heavy rains, so do prepare for that. This is one of the best places to camp if you love camping.

The park is awesome fill of wonderful plants and wildlife. There is a native plant display that has some wild variety labeled for you viewing pleasure. The river runs along the side of the park and is very accessible for viewing and fishing. There are wonderful areas that have new swings for two and also bench seats to allow for a rest. There are well designed campsites that have a fire pit and grill screen combination. The tent area is outlined and leveled. There is a nice boat ramp that had a great runway. There are shelters for picnics and nice trails too hike. Great place to take a date for a walk or maybe just grave the dog to enjoy some nature.

Yea, go to ncstatepark.com and pull up the park map. This park is actually in 2 different locations. The main park to me has more of a fishing area but the website will list the information best
No
Yes, just as Ginger said unless flooding. I took my daughter's maternity pictures there and they turned out beautiful .
Are you asking about genealogy census records? If so that would be at the main library
I've always felt safe there. Never had any problems with heavy drinkers. Semi-primitive camping. Camping spots close to rivers edge and close to parking lot and heated/cooled bathrooms located close by.
Yes, the restrooms are near (a few hundred feet away) the large covered picnic shelter.
It's not at this one it's at lazy river
