This place is fun and a great historical experience. However, if you want a Florida Spring vibe, this isn't the place. This spring is just a pool you can swim in. The water is pretty and there are lots of activities. There is a lot of history here to be explored such as artifacts and nature trails. There is also boat tours, kayak rentals, and food at the Sugar Mill restaurant. You can easily spend a whole day here with the family. Remember your sunscreen and bug spray! There are a lot of mosquitos. I recommend getting here early. By 10/11 am there is a crowd! The park entrance fee is $6 per car

Wonderful park. The springs are amazing. Take the time to go on the Eco/History Boat Tour. The wildlife you'll see will amaze you! Besides hundreds of birds and waterfowl and turtles and Bald Eagles we saw DOZENS of alligators! Seriously! Such a beautiful place! Our boat Captain, Kim, was SO informative! She has an amazing eye for the wildlife and continually points them out to her passengers. Thank you, Kim! This amazing natural spring gushes 9 million gallons of water per day up from the aquifer and cascades it over the rocks and into the waterway. Breathtaking!

Really fun state park! We went over MLK Jr. weekend and it was a bit crowded and chilly but we still had a great time. The restaurant was already booked up when we got there so we are looking forward to going back to experience that but from the sights and smell it should be pretty good. Since they were all booked up we just ordered some food from the take away stand and it was really good for a decent price. The hot cocoa was really yummy and warms you right up on a cold day (although rare in Florida!) Would 100% recommend just as a place to get out of the house for a day. When we go back we hope to also try the kayaking and swimming!

Great Park. Canoeing, paddle boarding, kayaking is available on rent. You can launch your own boat too. There is a deep water swimming area if you want to learn, test or practice scuba diving. Not too crowded, enough parking and great photogenic place with ample light for photography. The Sugar Mill Restaurant (also known as The old Spanish sugar mill restaurant) is wonderful too. Make unlimited pancakes yourself on the hot plate. Restaurant provides plates, batter, toppings and guidelines.
