I am wondering if the fourth of july campground is totally full on weekends in October? Concerned about getting a spot on the first come first serve basis. Ideas appreciated.

Hi Beth! If you'd like to camp at Manzano Mountains State Park, approximately 30 minutes from 4th of July campground, you can contact the park at (505) 469-7608. Visitation slows as we approach the cooler temps but we are still full at times over the weekends. If you'd like more information about 4th of July, you can try the Cibola National Forest at (505) 346-3900. Enjoy your visit!
