I will say this is one of my favorite parks!! There's literally something for everyone, there's a little playground for kids, there's trails for anyone wanting to walk (and lemme tell u, you can walk and walk and walk but it KEEPS GOING 😅so make sure to bring water lol),you can swim in the river!! Be careful lol some places can get deep😆 (you can also take Tubes and just float down the river) I HOPE YALL GO if you havnt lol!!! Hope u have as much fun as me and my Husband ❤

Great scenic, well maintained trail. Cliffview parking has a really nice bathroom. Chestnut Fall is very close to Cliffview parking. The entire trail is very scenic.

This trail is lovely! Smooth, mostly level, and a nice hard-packed dirt surface. There are campsites and picnic areas all along the route. My husband and I bicycled from Cliffview Access near Galax to Fries and back and enjoyed it immensely. Pretty scenery along the river, fun wooden bridges to cross... It feels safe because you are not competing with automobile traffic and there was not much bike or pedestrian traffic the day we were there, either.
