You can bring lawn chairs, etc, so I don't see any reason why you couldn't bring a portable one.

Act like it's your own trees. Don't hurt them. Don't put spikes in them or something crazy. But modern hammocks that tie around two trees using straps not strings? If you find two trees close enough I can't imagine that anyone would object.
