We had a wonderful send-off for North Carolina A&T new students. The Richmond Alumnae Chapter hosted it.

Haven't been here in 8 years. The last time I went, I visited the nature center which is now closed. That didn't affect me today because dogs aren't allowed in the buildings. Great park. I spent one hour on one of the trails. Not crowded. Ran into 3 people on a weekday around 11. Most of the people I saw were at the playground. Nice place to visit if you love nature and water. Serene. Glad dogs are allowed. A few benches are along the trail. Wish I lived near so I could go more often.

I walk and run the trails of this park very often. It is generally clean and the grounds are well kept. Plenty of shade offered around the lakes with other shaded spots and shelters near the playgrounds. The Nature Center is small and worth a walk through, if just to see the pier and small lakeside aquarium. The playgrounds and bathrooms on the opposite side of the park from the trails - genius - keeping things quiet. It's a very dog friendly park, and I'm grateful to all owners who pick up after their pet.

I enjoyed visiting Three Lakes very much. I am from another state, and I was in Virginia as a precursor to a possible move. I visited several parks local to Richmond and enjoyed them all. Three Lakes was the largest of the parks I visited. There were several walking trails that were easy to maneuver with my dog. There were signs indicating what trees and foliage was on the sides of the trails as well. I was impressed to see several other human/dog visitors. Unfortunately I was there on a day that the visitor center was closed. If I do find myself living in the Richmond area, I can guarantee I will visit Three Lakes frequently. I have several more photos, but unfortunately having difficulty with the files. This pair of water foul were absolutely hysterical. They looked like an old married couple, deep in a squabble.

There are three lakes here(surprising, huh?). The lake by the nature center you can't fish at. The lakes on either side you can fish at, lots of good spots.
Yes, pets allowed. Please pick up after them- no dookie bags included.👹 Please,no large animals like horses, lions, tigers, bears, giraffes, hippopotamus or elephants. Thank you for keeping our parks clean.👍👍🐫💩🐖🐎🐅🐆🐘💩🐷🐢🐢🐢🐢
I'm pretty sure you can but it would have to be planned well in advance.
U definitely can Fish out there! I been going every week
No. Call Henrico County Parks and Recreation to enquire further for your specific needs.
Sat and sunday 11am-4 pm. There is a temperature check when entering building
Venomous *, and yes, saw a copperhead last week
No. No access to putting anything in the lake. You can fish from the dock.... but you cannot use a kayak or a boat.
I don't think so.
I would say that the trails immediately across the parking lot from the playground are--wide, flat, minimal roots or other obstacles.
I wouldn't think so. There is a sign that says not to remove animals or plant life.
No not unless they put a pool in recently but they have a amazing playground and aquarium inside the visitor center
No. There are not any good areas for skating, any way. Now, if you're talking about letting your toddler roller skate with your supervision, that's probably okay. But adults roller or board skating is not allowed.
As long as you clean up behind your dog, as a responsible owner, it is. Also, be respectful, and not like those who act as if they and their pet are the exception to the rules, and keep your dog on leash. You, and your pet, will have a safe time at one of the Richmond area hidden gems.
No, but the Nature Center is. Park is open daily dawn to dusk
Make sure you take your fishing license. The police do come around and check.
After 50 people, I think that you should call ahead and see--if it isn't required, it's at least polite😂
No boats allow in the lakes. You can fish on the peir or the side of the lake
It's a very relaxing environment
Yes there are several kinds of catfish and bass and brim but you do need to have a Virginia freshwater license
