With a fishing license, you can fish. And though I get a discount for being a Senior citizen, I nust possess a fishing license to fish in NJ. I believe you're referring to Sawmill campsites which is several miles ftom the swimming lake near the monument.

You always need a fishing license for fresh water fishing in NJ, unless you are a senior exact age I am not sure, possibly 62. I think you can fish in the lake but there is a swimming beach there so not on that side of the lake!
