Wonderful time setting on the beach it wasn't crowded

Beautiful quiet park. Mostly rv's but some campers. Hiking trails. Quiet beaches full of shells and birds. The whole island is a nice off the path quiet place. If the sites were full hook-up would be the only way to improve.

Beautiful beaches

This is a wonderful seaside Park. You can do just about any outdoor recreation you can think of here. This place is very peaceful. I just wish they had more camping sites. It's very hard to get a spot due to its popularity.

It opened March 1st and campsites are available thru Reserve America
They're also flown at the entrance to the park.
You would need to contact the state park directly for the correct answer, I think it could happen but also note they charge a daily use fee for everyone entering and they might give a group rate.
Electric and water are provided, beyond that the other "creature comforts" are not here. No sewer, no internet, no cable TV. We used our Verizon hot spot when we needed internet. But the stay here is well worth it. Spacious spots for any kind of stay. Beautiful beaches, great access to nearby small communities. Try not to miss it. We were there this month for 6 days.
I would contact the state https://www.floridastateparks.org/volunteers
The mosquitoes here are nightmarish, I would go elsewhere
There is a very nice camp ground, I'm not sure how long one is allowed to stay, some of the campers appeared to have been there for quite awhile.
Not on the campground property. The others are correct that you won't need to leave the island to find one though. There is one on the primary road through the island.
This should have all the info you need https://floridastateparks.reserveamerica.com/camping/st-george-island-sp/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=FL&parkId=281068
Yes there is a very nice campground there. Highly recommend staying.
Yes The last time we were there in early September the Pavillion bathrooms were open
Yes, there are two bath houses in the campground area and two or three along the beachfront.

You probably can it's nothing really blocked off once you get around the forest and beach area. You're trailblazing from there if you go off course
No pets on the beach or in any facility, only on hot pavement, campsites and nature Trails full of sand spurs.
You can go to www.areavibes.com and get all info about the island. The temperature rang is 46F to 62F with 53 being the avg for Jan.
They usually write the passcode on the back of your campground site number card...that u tape I side your windshield
Only if you are a registered camper. Then they would have given you the code on the back of your parking pass
Yes it is but, not all of it. Part is still closed do to last year's hurricane. It is a beautiful park.
Trucks and trailers are permitted at the boat ramp in the park
Camping? Try Reserve America Website
The shelters and parking areas are handicap accessible. There is no boardwalk to the beach. It's a gorgeous place.
Yes. At the rv park and there is a primitive camp site on a trail that goes to the bay. We were there in June of this year and tents were alone on the pads at the campground mingled in with RVs. It was that way last year also
No. It is closed. You can ignore signs of you walk but you will be hassled if spotted.
The park reopened last weekend
Still closed as of today. FSPs website will provide you with the most up to date information. Last report they gave had an open date in January 2019 though.
They are still working on the road into the park. And the ranger station was sand and mold covered. So idk when
Not for sure i would definitely call and ask.
You CAN NOT run the rentals to the state park. Its against the rules. Their is no legal path to drive to get there. They will tell you this when you rent one.
You can access the site via kayak, or canoe, or boat. Boat ramp isn't too far. Can't say about the time it would take, as everyone is different with their stroke! You can take a cooler with wheels on the trail. I had a wagon loaded with a cooler, water, and fire wood. It weighed in at around 100lbs. I managed to get it there. Well worth it.
In the park but not on the beach. You can take them to the beach in front of the light house. They allow pets on the beach there.
We were there in May, only at campsite and at park grills.
If you pay to sleep in the campground they will pretty much let you do whatever as long as you respect the innocence of others and their family. You would have to set up camp in the designated area (which isn't the best location but it is by the restroom and shower). The showers are primitive. Be sure to bring no bats or insect repellant because the mosquitos are hostile. But you can definitely picnic on the beach all night as long as you respect the rules. I've been going for years and I love it more than new york.
Yes. If you are a camper, they will give you a code.
Camping only allowed in the campground. But if you camp at the campgrounds, you can visit and hang out on the beach all night. No fires allowed on the beach. St George Island campgrounds are awesome.
You can pay for a day pass in the State Park.
You cant drive on the beach. You can only go to the end of the state park side but you gotta walk!
There is a camper site on the park. St George Island is also home to rental property outside park boundaries.
No wifi, and you have to leave the park to get cell phone service
No... St Joseph's peninsula st park has cabin...
