If you're lucky enough to find deep enough water to go swimming the current gets so strong it might sweep you away. And yes there are tons of creepy crawlies along with stingrays.

I haven't fished here myself but have heard that the pompano bite is good just past the surf off the beach if you have a good rod to cast the distance

Yes, as long as you dig a pit, however a permit may be required and you can not during turtle nesting season.

No there is not a ramp at bald point but there is a ramp before the bridge and masha sands. Make a left in front of Angelo's restaurant and follow to the end. When you launch you will be looking at bald point.
