I will say first, sadly I didn't take the time to enter the facility. I was traveling with furbabies and they were tiring of getting in an out of the vehicle. That out of the way- - - On a recent "turn and burn" trip to Niagara Falls NY. When traveling and lighthouses are near, one must photograph. On scenic Highway 5 along Lake Erie you will find several lighthouses. Some like Barcelona Lighthouse are just off the road. Others, in the water. And some on a pier. The history, the views, and the beautiful Autumn day made travel perfect. This now long decommissioned lighthouse was the FIRST in the world to use natural gas to light the bulbs. Only 40 feet in hight, and of stone it is still a beauty at over 150 years young! Take a trip, sit back and take in the views. Visit Lake Erie and some of her hidden gems. I guarantee, I'll make it around again.

The grounds are open year-round During the summer season, the Westfield, NY Visitor Center is housed in the Keeper's Cottage and open for visitation during their staffed hours. The tower is not open to the public at this time due to interior structural safety issues.
The Barcelona Lighthouse grounds are open year round. The Keeper's Cottage/Museum/Visitor Center is open Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Please check the website for the schedule: https://parks.ny.gov/parks/196/details.aspx
There are no boat rental places in Westfield New York, if you want to rent a boat you have to go to lake Chautauqua but I don't know what the prices are
