I was there today 7/8 and thy water was beautifully clear.

The water is clean this time of year, but be aware that it's a lake, not a pool. In a busy swim area, or on a (generally windy) day with waves, the bottom will be stirred up and the watrr at the shore will be silty. For Lake Ontario, there's relatively little algae right now. The swimming beaches have lots of relatively clean sand for digging and sunning
It is regularly cleaned but it is best in the morning.
Its nice & quiet and clean you pay to get in but its cheap the water pretty clear better than other beaches jus come early or no spot for you!!!
