It is a public forest. It is open to the public for recreation or hunting.

This is a NATIONAL PARK there is absolutely no Hunting in a National Park. You would have to have a VERY Special License to Discharge a Firearm in a National Park, State Parks are different.

Google Maps calls it Flathead National FOREST. National FORESTS (administered under the USDA) allow hunting, fishing, camping, logging, etc. National PARKS (administered under the Department of Interior) do not so much.
