Staying above 8th floor is a good suggestion, but it will take forever for the elevator. We stayed on 14th floor and we walked up....and down everyday. Good work out though.
Also suggest stay above the 8th floor
Their is always construction going on somewhere in NY City. I always keep ear plugs and a light mask in my travel bag. If you don't have these items with you, I'd ask the friendly staff.
