Can I ask about this "resort tax" that is sweeping across the hotels in new york?? Why is this tax being asked for after booking in good faith.

Julie... Cheers for your answer. The reason I asked this question is exactly what you have said "this isn't a resort" but I've seen some hotels charging upto $55 above what is advertised... According to NYC law a this tax is illegal because its a "hidden" tax hence why I'm asking the question!!
