Is not as dark as some places, like up in West Virginia, but several areas of the park have minimal light pollution. However, the field of view can be impacted by the mountainous terrain.

I heard that reservation permits are being required for backpacking in the wilderness areas accessed through Grayson Highlands SP beginning October 1, 2019. We always, register, and pay the nightly fee at the Park and use the Backpackers lot?
