There is usually a free microchip and rabies clinic once a month, you can find out what day on the animal care website.
I believe they have events where they offer free microchip
Yes they do have free microchipping for any adopted animal from ACS. They also do the first rabies shot and if it's a baby puppy and they do the first round of shots that a puppy should get and after you adopt it's up to you to get to a veterinarian as quick as possible that's one of their rules they have. The reason they want you to take an adopted animal to a veterinarian as quickly as possible is that ACS does not have the ability to take X-rays and see if there's anything wrong with the animal you're going to adopt they just go with what they're on site veterinarian concludes after a visual and palpation exam. I hope you do adopt an animal there are so many at ACS that need forever homes and lots of love. Good luck to you and your new pet!
If you adopt they have free microchipping
MICROCHIPPING IS FREE FOR SAN ANTONIO RESIDENTS, AND $5 FOR NON-San antonio RESIDENTS. NO APPOINTMENT NEEDED.
