There are three different locations you can get on the boat: 1) The shops at Rivercenter 2) next to the Hilton palacio del Río 3) at the Aztec theatre All on the river level which you can access through the side walk. Wherever you pick up the boat is where they will drop you off.

I don't work for the Go Rio Cruises, but work for CENTRO. I haven't heard them say when they'll be up and running. So, I'd have to say no they won't be open June 6

During the day you'll be able to see more of what the boat captain is talking about. The best time to go at night is during the holidays (december) because there are lights strung from the trees and the riverwalk looks absolutely beautiful.

They have ticket windows a long the river, boats have stops where you buy the tickets at to get on. You can bring your own drink or buy it where you buy the tickets at.
