I would never recommend this place to anyone. Unfortunately, I was warned of this before signing up with the plan. I did it anyway and regret it. Her diabetic pet food prescription was denied yesterday due to them not seeing her this year for an exam which I was told previously that if the prescription ever expired, I could just go get another one printed (it has been expired since March 2022). But ok, understandable. BUT, trying to schedule an appointment is almost impossible with a normal work schedule. So next weekend (1 week) away is the earliest time that would work. The doctor denied giving her a prescription for food one time to get her through the week until her appointment. Again, this is for DOG FOOD that has to be prescribed. Not to mention, every time I call (apart from today), the customer service is terrible. I am cancelling my plan and taking my dog to someone who actually cares about her.

We had to put our elderly dog down and they was so sincere and let us take our time. We couldn't afford his ashes but they sent a paw print in the mail for us. We all cried but truly loved it. Thank you so much during our worst time

I recommend to skip Banfield and go to Eagle Veterinary. Banfield keeps your pets all day even for minor appointments, such as vaccinations. We brought our elderly dog here because they had a senior care package. I’ve paid A TON out of pocket for this service and would have been better off paying for services as needed. Eagle Veterinary was cheaper and had our other two dogs in and out in less then 10 mins.

Don’t bring your pet here. They told me my dog’s condition was not life threatening. They kept him there for the last 30 minutes until they closed and referred me to Town and Country Vet Hospital where they said if he was referred to them sooner instead of holding him there, he would have survived. Yes my fur baby passed away. Here’s a reminder of what you took from me!

No, but you can call us during hospital hours for urgent care advice. Depending on the situation, we can help provide a referral for urgent care, specialty providers, or to an emergency hospital. During non-hospital hours, please contact your local emergency hospital.
They also offer health insurance that includes annual checkups, dental cleaning, and discounts on other services.
You can spread the cost of your wellness plan across the 12 months of your annual agreement to make it easier to budget for the essential health care your pet needs. Your monthly payments can be automatically withdrawn from a checking or savings account or charged to a credit card so that you don’t have to worry about them once you enroll. We also offer the option of paying in full if you prefer.
Optimum Wellness Plans are designed to provide annual preventive care. They include head-to-tail exams, vaccines, early screening diagnostics, consultations for proper nutrition, dental care and more! Since wellness plans are not insurance, they do not include treatment for unpredictable or abnormal conditions, however discounts would apply. Because pets need ongoing preventive care, wellness plans automatically renew at the end of each twelve month period (unless paid in full at enrollment).
The hospital will be your best source for pricing information, but for a rough estimate on certain services, you can also use our pricing calculator here: https://www.banfield.com/our-hospitals/services-pricing#/pricingwidget
