I believe a the silence, the cold spots and the pitted stones give the mind a lot to absorb and could easily give someone a creepy feeling, especially in the fall.
I liked beartown, but right up the road is cranberry glades. A 1 mile or so boardwalk around the glades and though we saw a few people, it was so quiet, it was so peaceful, my only regret was leaving. Absolutely a must visit. Be kind and enjoy. Thanks 🙈 🙉🙊
We saw quite a few people there.
I think the overpowering sound of silence could be considered eerie to people that are not used to it. It is very close to Droop Mountain and a lot of souls were lost in the area, so it's possible, but we didn't notice anything.
I feel there could be a creepy vibe. But I've been there multiple times amd have never experienced anything that wpuld provide evidence of any supernatural activity
