It's A Mom Thing
Allegany State Park is a wonderful place to camp and disconnect from your device. The sites are quite big and many of them are private. The beach is well maintained and the water is nice and warm. The park offers nice playgrounds for the kids as well. The streams are fun to wade in and to try to find crabs and little fish. All of the dirt roads take you on a little off-road adventure. Visiting thunder rock is pretty amazing. If you are lucky, you might see a bear! If you haven't already, you should take time to check this park out.

Never has there been a park that has so many memories for so many families. So much to explore without ever leaving the park. Stay for a week and this place feels like home. The nature programs offered during the summer are a bonus. There is not a season that you will not enjoy in this park there's something for everyone.

Beautiful campgrounds. Make certain that you know your location either is with electric or without. Somehow it wasn't clear when I made reservations and we ended up with no electric. We called the park ranger and they quickly got us a new site with electric. Also the trails are fun to traverse. We saw ground hogs, lots of birds, squirrel, chipmunks and a snake skinπnice bike trails

Haven't been home in the winter since over 6 yrs. Sat at the toll booth for over hf an hr, shut the music off, and just listened to nothing. The roads were covered in fresh snow, so unless you have the tires, i suggest waiting for a little bit before venturing up. Wanted to go to the Stone Tower, but didn't trust the southern car we came up in.

Didnt see canoe rentals ..there are picnic areas with grills
Not sure about today but was there last week and the leaves are turning, the view from stone tower is beautiful!!! Also, me and my wife both have cell reception in the summit loop and at Stone tower, we have AT&T
Nicholas kinmartin, is there a reason why you rate businesses that you have never dealt with before?
Depends on your comfort level. There are things like Thunder Rocks, Bridal Falls, 2 beaches with swimming in the two lakes, hiking, enjoying the scenery and smelling the mountain air. The cabins is a good choice. Enjoy yourself!
