We went to check out this park in Pennsylvania(we were visiting the area) Went on a thursday when the temperature was kind of cool and there was not a lot of people, so I loved that. Dont be surprised by the brown color of the lake water; its because of the iron content of the rocks in the lake.Theres lots of tables and grills throughout the park. oh, theres a sign that the lake has non venemonous snakes in it. .Forgot which type of snake. . ..
stacy good
Beautiful and peaceful park (during the week) The lake is gorgeous, seen deer roaming, caught some fish, watched the beavers. The campground is nice with about medium sized campsites, a few smaller, a few larger. Would have rated this 5 stars if it weren't for the loud and disturbing group of campers that kept us awake well after midnight and were playing loud music at 6am..I expected to see a park ranger patrolling the campground but I never seen one our entire stay.

It was a winter camping extreme with our new Riverside Retro 193! Cold, crazy weather, snow, sleet & rain, windy but hauntingly beautiful! A very nice PA state park!

The experience was good. It is a good place for beginners to learn camping. The camp grounds had public restrooms. The lake had boats and kayaks for rent. Well maintained camping grounds. The drive to this place is good and it is just the right amount of remote- shops are nearby but located conveniently away so that it is completely quiet and dark at night. However not many trails to explore but ideal place for a weekend picnic/camping experience with friends/family. Arrangements are there for campgrounds with electric or without it. Grills, table and benches for laying food was provided on-site
