We thought the hike was short but beautiful. Droop Mountain Battlefield is like five minutes away and has a museum and several hiking opportunities! Both are free!

Anyone else feel this area was eerie, haunted? We visited years ago. I had the constant feeling of being watched and overall hair on skin raising type feeling. It is beautiful however. We didn't see another soul while there though.
