Yes the Mojave green rattlesnake is out and active be aware of your footsteps!
I have not, but a I hear a lot about the Mojave green snakes. They are aggressive.
I saw a garter snake there once.
Mojave Greens are here and have many breeding sites. They are NOT aggressive as rumored but will bite if you step on or corner them. Rangers and paramedics typically carry the anti-venom but avoid the bite -- you could lose a limb.
I haven't, but I would imagine snakes would be common in a hot climate like this.
My girl and I seen a lizard around 4 feet long, it gets really hot there
Be vigilant as the temperatures rise.
Cactus are more prevelant and will give horrible welts. There maybe Be A Variety Even California snakes very colorful- non poison Then there are poisonous type- Mojave Green , diamond back rattler, maybe timber rattler large snake- eastern diamondback maybe but I would check out from a forrest ranger what to expect.
None seen in October
Yes
Yes, I have many times. This is the time of year when they start moving around, a lot. So please be careful and DO NOT harm any snake or animal you see as they are all protected by law. Harming or killing any animal or snake is punishable by fine and imprisonment, they usually give you both.
