Please call animal control or the spca directly to have someone come get her, someone will help you so she doesn't have to be alone and you won't have to worry about her safety. Good luck.
Animal Control will try to move her to a no-kill shelter, but there are no guarantees. If you make an appt with the Humane Society, it may take a couple weeks, but you can guarantee that she will have a home there until she is placed with a family . If you are leaving immediately, send me your contact info, and I can probably find a foster situation until the shelter can take her.
Please check with the Humane Society. They have a no kill facility and take such good care of the animals to be sure they get the appropriate home for their needs and personality.
