Horry County prohibits dogs on the beach from May 1 thru Labor Day from 10am to 5pm. Dogs must always be on a leash 6 feet or shorter.
Between Labor day and Momorial Day they can not be on the beach from 10am -5PM. No restrictions rest of the year.

Dogs are not allowed on the pier but everyone walks their dog on the beach. The dogs love at the beach!

I dont know what the rules officially are but there were several families with dogs on the beach the last time I was there.
