Great beach day. The pier was still closed but we still had a wonderful time. Bathrooms could use some sporadic attention throughout busy beach days, but overall a great place to visit and beautiful nature trails!

The pier was great . A beautiful day to visit. The staff was very friendly and answered all the questions we had. The people fishing were friendly and the gift store had a lot of get things . Our next trip I'll be bringing my fishing poles and spend the day on the pier .

Great place to hang out with family and enjoy the beach. We were there for a reunion and had previously rented the shelter. However, as we were wrapping up at the end of the day others were able to come and utilize the shelter. There is a great Park for kids to play and also hiking/biking trails. I did not go to the pier this time but have been in the past I just wanted to give it a little time since there was a hurricane in the previous weekend. LOL We arrived earlier in the morning and did not have any issues getting in. However, family members that arrived after 10:00 or so had a pretty good wait. For some reason there is one line for annual Park membership and another line for daily payers. The annual membership line was completely empty while others waited for over 30 minutes. Make sure to use the right lane if you are a daily payer. Otherwise you will have to turn around and get in the back of the correct lane.

The sign I saw doesn't have a completion date, have you ever fished at The Pier at Garden City SC?
Parking is included in the entry fee. You will need to pay the entry fee
It's always a good idea to call the park for exact information.
No license needed, when the pier is open you just pay at the store http://www.myrtlebeachstatepark.net/fishing-pier.html Unfortunately it looks like the pier will be under repair for a long time.
No alcohol. All food otherwise is fine
Horry County prohibits dogs on the beach from May 1 thru Labor Day from 10am to 5pm. Dogs must always be on a leash 6 feet or shorter.
I only catch the little ones, but it's OK is my time off
Very enjoyable, peaceful and relaxing place to visit awesome. Just a stone's throw from any other Beach, with whiter Sands, and Woodlands Trail and other enjoyable times away from the big scene in Myrtle Beach. Totally enjoyable experience
It depends on how crowded it is. Sometimes you have to park further away. If you go to S3, there is handicapped parking and no stairs.
I don't know I would think as long as you have the proper tags and licenses
Water temps have driven most coastal species into deeper water but you can still catch whiting, trout and small black drum. Cut frozen or fresh shrimp is the ticket right now but the bite will be slower for any bait due to colder water. Consult a good solunar calendar and fish the moving tides.
Just went last week, sign on pier said closed until late September. They are definitely still working, replacing boards.
Don't think so.
The park is open 6a to 10p I believe, the pier is under renovation but the store is open
Yes
They are repairing damages that occurred during the hurricanes
Just the end of the pier is closed off. The ranger told us it will be fixed in 2019
