Call 1rst, it could just be that your modem needs to be reset, they can do it over the phone. It has happened to me several times over the years.

you can do that but from experience it'd be possible to first phone with them and figure out certain issues over the phone. I use to have same I-net issues and after all I end up switching. good luck!
