If you remember joining via application and never withdrew or got a refund of your contributions, then you most likely are vested...meaning you have a right to receive lifetime monthly pension checks. If you can locate an old paycheck stub you can find your 6 digit pension # there and call them up. Or visit at 340 Jay Street in downtown Brooklyn with a valid photo ID to get your member # and plan information, you can also wait and get a benefit estimate there. Also visit nycers.org to create an online profile (once you have your 6 digit p# that is)

Not sure ? What. Year you came in I came in 2003 and from what I know if you worked 5 years your invested an have to wait until 57 years of age I had the 5/57 I retired at age 57 with 11 years got both med and pension
