If you turned documents in at the embassy you won't be needing the handsome passport pictures because they are now equipped to take your biometrics at the embassy for no additional charge.You just have to go back to the embassy with your I.D and receipt.On the other hand if you mailed your documents then you may want mail your passport pictures at your soonest convenience.You may also want to call them and alert them about the mishap ahead of sending it.They may even give you a particular name to forward it to.So please call them and let them know that you are willing to overnight the pictures to them if necessary.They will work with you.Good luck.
If you walk in to renew your passport, you don't need a passport picture because the embassy will take you a passport picture for the new passport. However, if you don't live in DMV , then I guess you still need to bring a passport picture in addition to all the documents presented.
Go to a close Cvs and take another one or go home and get it if close.
