I had the same issue (embassy not picking up the phone). It helped me calling between Mon-Thurs before noon EST. They'd always pick up the phone and be helpful when I was calling at those times. Good luck!

Hi. First, everything starts with get your appointment online or phone call. For the most important, they will need you to show that you are LEGALLY AUTHORIZED to stay in the U.S.A. (GREEN CARD...) and that you still a cameroonian!!! The requirements (on the back of your passport) is to ask for the renewal 6 months before the expiration date: why guest like you wait to long??? Also, from the time you call them, get your appointment and after that wait for your new passport, you will need to understand that you can wait 10 months in total at least!!! It's is very easy to renew once back home (my advice) than here. In one week or two back home it's done . You can also travel without your valide passport with the document name's LAISSER-PASSER that our embassy can gives the same day to all cameroonians. Thx.

Hi dear. It takes to long now to get your appointment and passeport at the Embassy in D.C, but you have another opportunity to travel with the temporary document name's LAISSER-PASSER. If you still cameroonian you can apply once backhome to get your new passport (takes about 2 or 3 weeks to be done). Here it's my advices. Thanks.

While my sister had a mere positive experience,my purpose doesn't clear up all the flaws that still undermine the Cameroon Embassy in the US. I will suggest as we quite often do in here, don't call IRS, Verizon, AT&T...on Mondays or Fridays. Rather call strategically on Tuesdays, Wednesdays or Thursdays. Good luck!!!!

I don't understand your question. But to get there, you need to google the address 2349 Massachusetts Ave NW, Washington, DC 20008 either take a bus or drive there depending on where you are. Depending on what you want to do, visit the website and follow instructions. Please don't be in a hurry. Book appointments and follow instructions, you will not regret.

How can you get a Cameroon tourist visa online?

Apply online at "portal.passcam.cm" Pay the fees and choose the date of appointment, and embassy of Cameroon in washington as your appointment place. You got all informations in the site.

If you are a Cameroonian, you can get a travel document " laisser passer" for that purpose. Schedule a visit with them. You can also fast track it and pay for the "express" version that cost $40 more. Be very patient with the Cameroonian and don't have your expectations too high. Good 🤞!

My sister good luck with that. If you are in the DMV area just drive to the embassy. Otherwise, keep calling with a slim chance of those guys ever picking up.

The guy who worked on my documents did a very good job,He took His time to explain every step in the process of obtaining a passport, kudos to him,the wait time is a serious problem for us the citizens,this is where our Government has to ameliorate,I believe our embassies have to be capable of producing our passports and other documents directly,if it means that we pay more, it will be better,in all our brothers and sisters are doing a fantastic job.

Any lettet or visa must be obtained from the Cameroonian Consolate Office in Washington, DC.

Go on the website of the Embassy of Cameroon. The instructions are there on how you can apply for a Visa. Put the required documents together and FedEx it to the Embassy. Also include a prepaid return FedEx envelope so that they can send your visa back to you. There's a vaccine you have to take, it's 150.00 dollars. Everything is listed on the form on the Cameroon embassy website. Also include the visa fees in the form of a money order.

Sorry about your loss. It’s unfortunate. But honestly those useless people at the embassy don’t give a hoot. I don’t know who or what hires them. Phones are never answered and when they do it answer they speak to you with such nasty tone. It’s really unfortunate
