I was issued a 5 years multiple visa in March 2018.
In April 2018,I travelled to Ghana for 4 weeks.
Do I need to visit the Consulate before I can travel to Ghana?

You don't have to if all your information remain the same.If you have changed address then you will have to update the Consulate.

No. Just make sure your Visa is still valid for travel and nothing such as your name, has changed.
