Yes there are definitely gators. There are not in swim area. However you can take an amazing guided boat tour thru the spectacular natural habitat to numerous exciting animals. We saw Manatees when we went Highly recommend a visit to the State park!! A stay at the lodge and the delicious food at the restaurant rounded out a perfect trip!
They tend to stay away from the swimming area. However, like all fresh bodies of water in Florida there are alligators. But if you don't bother them they tend to leave you alone.
Yes. However, they generally stay away from people, and there are life guards present and ACTIVE. The swimming area is blocked off to define safe location. On a positive note, there are Manatees in the spring as well, which are wonderful to watch that you can literally see from the dock.
It's Florida.. anywhere there is fresh water expect gators.
I would imagine yes ... stay in designated swimming areas. Generally don't go into shallow bank areas.
Yes but they stay away from the marked swimming area. If you do the tour you can see plenty of them.
Yes there is but they don't usually go near swimming area to many people
