We moved to the area and I was looking forward to walking here. I invited my friend for our first walk here. There’s a lovely trail by the water. The views are spectacular, but the entire area was littered with diapers, beer bottles/cans, broken glass, fire pits, bags of garbage, etc. I don’t understand why, when there are half a dozen trash cans at the parking area… if you can carry it in, why not carry it out? Personally, my first impression was disgust and embarrassment that we could have such a beautiful place in such poor condition. I know there’s a yearly port tobacco river community clean up, but perhaps the park service should have a weekly walk through.

The park is wonderful right on there water but people have left so much trash there. They have plenty of trash cans and dumpsters but people choose to trash the park.
