We live in Ga. And my wife ,birth certificate from 1950 via the D. C Dept of Vital Statistics. , was good enough for Ga. For a renewal, even since we've lied in Ga for over 20 years, and had it renewed every 6 years and ten 10 years. We Talked to D.C. via phone and it took about 5 weeks. Chip and Ann Hatcher
