Yes you can pay cash as well but like Greg said be carefull with the rental cars as most of them come equiped with the machine and then you get double charged like what I did I never paid cash and kept going from Orlando Tampa Turpon Spring Clearwater beach FortMyres and Miami and the car rental company deduct only 15USD all together

U can pay cash. Careful your rental car will have a SunPass in it. You'll have to shut it if you do not wish to use the SunPass. when you rent a car at the counter there is a pamphlet telling you all about the SunPass in the rental vehicle.
