My dog had recently the rabbies vaccine and we bought the rabbies tag in Miami Dade, but we're moving to Broward. What should I do?

Please know that your pet's RABIES VACCINE/CERTICATE transfers--NOT the pet license tag. Someone mentioned transferring the license tag--that is not correct. If you move from one County to another County or state, you must abide by their laws regarding pet registration. Each County throughout Florida has their own ordinances and fees for pet tags. The M-D tag is NOT valid in Broward County (or any other County). Likewise, the Broward tag is now valid anywhere else. You will be fined for not having the appropriate pet license tag. Hi and welcome to Broward County! Simply bring your dog's current Rabies Certificate to our Adoption Center and we will sell you a new tag (we do not transfer tags). Our address is 2400 SW 42nd Street, in Fort Lauderdale. We are open Tuesday through Sunday from 11AM to 6PM. For more information, visit our website at http://www.broward.org/Animal/TagsAndShots/Pages/RegistrationRequirements.aspx
