Our adoption fees are waived. There is no fee necessary for all dogs who are "adoptable," (Their hold time to wait for their owner is over). Those dogs are ready to go home right away. If you select a pet who is still waiting to be reunited with his owner, then you can place a $20 non-refundable deposit on the pet. If the owner does not come forward, you will be able to adopt the dog at no additional cost. If the dog is reclaimed, then you can select another pet.
If you are in Broward County you can call 311 to get complete information. Regarding getting the dog today would depend if the dog is off stray hold and if dog has already been sterilized. If not yet off stray hold you can still adopt but wont be able to pick up dog until stray hold is finished. If dog is off stray hold but not yet sterilized you would have to return to pick up dog the following day after adopting.
