Thank you for writing. The industry definition of "no-kill" is a shelter that sustains a save rate of 90% or more. Since the move to our new location, our save rate for our pets has improved significantly (85% or better). Each pet that is brought into our shelter is evaluated based on health and behavior and with the help of our Rescue Partners and the community, we have been able to place many more pets in homes. Residents play an important role in all of this, by adopting, fostering and volunteering. The more engagement we have from the community, the closer we will get to becoming a "no-kill shelter."
Incorrect unfortunately , when someone surrenders an animal there's always the chance that they will not be adopted..I was just there in April and brought in an elderly homeless cat with a split jaw and he was literally starving to death and in tremendous agony.. He needed to be out of his misery..
