If you want to rent a kayak then I would highly recommend reservations because they can sell out quickly. The park operates on a first come first serve so if you want to make sure you've got a kayak then I would recommend reservations. If you want to go into the park and swim in springs then you don't need reservations however they also have limited space and fill up on a first come first served basis. Hope you enjoy your visit.
