You get one or the other and it depends on your age. I received disability from 58 to 65. At 65 it switched to Social Security.

Call the number on the Topeka door. My feeling is that your answer is dependent on how much retirement one is receiving. Uncle Sam is not about doling out money, but only collecting it.
