Not clear what you are asking. And not real clear about what you mean by "pay the tax". Anyway, Salem, Northampton, Leicester have recreational. But more places are working on it, so look on line for more later. If you are staying and looking for a medical lic, you would want to book an appointment with a Dr first. There are offices that specialize in this. This would work if you were staying in MA.
It depends on what area you're staying at. The three recreational stores open in Massachusetts are in Northampton, Leicester, and Salem. There may be a new store open by next month, but I would suggest going to Northampton because it's a pretty cool place.
