Should you decide to take a tour make sure to ask for Mike as your tour guide he is extremely knowledgeable of the forts complete history.. Even fires the cannon for the forts events..He did so for my daughters wedding there..
Parking and park are free tours are a fee and .sure need to be registered on line now
Plenty of free parking and free to roam around. They do offer tours for a fee.
There is a fee. It was not excessive. I forget exactly how much. And you can walk around freely. However, it looks like 80% of the interior is off limits due to renovations and general condition. You can see into many of the old spaces from outside the chain link fence though.
