Good walk with great nature views. There was some construction going on so had to do a detour but allowed us to see more of St. Regina University. The mansions it goes by are not very visible in summer as they mostly have large hedges in front of their fences so not the best way to see the houses along the coast if that’s what you’re going for in the summertime. Pictured is university building which you can see from the trail this and a few others. Not a lot of shaded areas so is a bit hot. Great views though of the water and cliffs - gives a vibe of a smaller coast of wales or Ireland.

I walked from breakers to the north end of cliff walk. Its about 1.2 miles one way. Its beautiful. The view of Atlantic ocean is amazing. There are several points where you could get down and also several points to take photos. Make sure to wear comfortable and sturdy shoes.

Gorgeous. I forgot how beautiful it was. Next time I travel home I need to bring my kids here. It's 7 miles round trip (out and back). We parked at the beach. Small detour, but not a big deal.

Fun easy walk that is greet to on dry sunny day. Most people are good about picking up after their dogs. The difficult scampering on rocks is actually very moderate with many large flat rocks close to the water, max 7 feet above. It’s nice to walk back on the road and see the front of mansions.

Start with dogs from the north end. And always clean up your dog waste.
Cliff walk is meant for walking, but depending on the time of day, you may be able to get some riding done. However, There are bike paths that follow along Cliff Along. Hope that helps. 😁🙏🏼
No, exactly what Rachel said above. It is a beautiful walk but an FYI,, the Cliff Walk is closed off at 40 Steps now because part of it had collapsed. I don't know if there is another access point from another Street and it's blocked off also from another side but if you really want the whole Cliff Walk experience you might want to look into it a little if you are coming from a long distance.. Hopefully it will be fixed soon
Not possible. It's not a "trail" in the true sense of the word
There are a few entry points that have free parking. Or you can park on a nearby street for free and walk over.
It is always open because it is a public walkway, like a side walk above the cliff and below the great houses. However, as David mentioned, like a sidewalk, the weather conditions will affect whether you wish to walk. If weather is bad there are access points where you can enjoy the views without having to walk far
It's about 3.5miles depending on your direction. But it's a pretty nice walk
It depends on how much you want to walk. If you park at the beach on one of the ends and you walk to the other end you then would have to walk all the way back to your car. Ruggles Ave. Is near the middle and you can find street parking. That way if you walk half and back and you still feel like doing the other half then go for it. Its a 7 mile round trip. But it has amazing views.
Hi, the best place to start would be the entrance at the Forty Steps across from Narragansett Ave. Be sure to arrive early since there is limited parking on the Ave. By starting here, you will have cut off the portion from Easton's Beach to here which is very crowded and not as scenic. You are also very close to the mansions and rugged shoreline too. Hope this helps!
$18 gets you into one house, excluding The Breakers and Hunters. You can buy multiple house passes. Those are priced $30+ depending on what you choose. If you just want to see The Breakers, it’s $26. You don’t have to buy a ticket for the cliff walk though.
