No. You could honeymoon island, but caladesi is completely surrounded by water. You could walk there and then take the ferry over. From north Clearwater beach it's going to be quite a distance to that area. Pinellas trail.
We walked from Clearwater Beach to Caladesi Island 3 times last month. Easy walk, I am 73 years old. If people don't know, they should not answer.
North Clearwater Beach and Caladesi are connected by a narrow sandbar so you can walk. The Dunedin Pass filled in several years ago. It us a several mile walk and since there is little to no public parking on the north end of Clearwater beach so your walk will be longer. Another option might be to rent a kayak and paddle over. The mangrove trails are maintained and a fun way to visit. Just need to be aware of the tide levels. Have fun!
Not sure we went around causeway dr
It is definitely possible to walk from Clearwater to Caladesi. I walked from Caladesi to North Clearwater a few days ago. It took an hour probably. I just walked to where the first house is not to the parking. I am not sure of the distance.
The north end of Clearwater Beach is mostly residential and it would be hard to find parking. If you parked, say near the fire house, you could walk to caladesi Park. It would be quite a long walk. Back in the 70's caladesi was it's own island but the pass between it and Clearwater Beach eventually filled in.
Sorry I have been out of country. It is to get to walk. Check the jolly troll to see if it comes closer
