Open RV camping is allowed as long as you stay one vehicle length off the road. In the area between Clark Dry Lake and the highway there are numerous roads, so it's allowable to park/camp off these roads?

I live very close by and I see RVs parked in different locations that obviously haven't been moved in a while. The only place I don't see them as on the right side of the road leading to the Julian area. There are signs that indicate what type of vehicles aren't allowed. Hope it helps.

Open camping, per the rules at the park website is allowed INSIDE the park. Open lands around the town of Borrego Springs are private, tresspass and squatting is not ok just for convenience. Please camp in the park. The open camping rules for the park do not mean a free-for all everywhere.
