Slot canyons, wind caves, mud caves, dome lands, whale peak, palm canyon, indian hill...the list is huge. Love them all. Oh, Fish creek!
Depends on your level of physical fitness, type of vehicle used to get to a trailhead, weather/season, and ability to read a map/gps. Palm Canyon is easy, Elephant Tree is easy, Granite Mountain and Indian Head are hard. Look on Modern Hiker to get a good idea. Have fun and be safe.
Palm Canyon
Best days are Wed and Fridays
Make sure to bring plenty of water and salty snacks. Don't become a victim or statistic.
Was my first time was invited by a friend, there's only one trial in this particular part of park. This one is easy pretty much all flat land some boulders and rocks. You are exposed to the sun pretty much all day. Take plenty of water and sun block, if your adventurous you can apparently go beyond the palm grove at the end of the trail. We did for a little ways up. There are rangers there that can guide you on the park and other trails there? Definitely want to go back for other bikes possibly other trails near by.
There are no bad hikes just bad hikers.
We enjoyed Alcoholic's Pass, but Barry is right. There are lots around and vehicle plays a part for what is available.
