We were here on Thursday to swim with manatees. They say the water is a constant 72 degrees, but it was very cold this week. I got out of the water and it was very cold. I've never had it this cold. But it was worth it!
We were there last year in January and it was the coldest Florida has been in years. I booked a 4 hour tour and lasted in the water about 2.5-3 hours. The rest of the time they were kind enough to cruise us around to see more manatees. They were great and it was one of the best experiences of my life. I would definitely do it no matter how cold it was/is.
They say the water is a constant 72 because it is spring feed. They gave us 3-2 wet suit to wear and it was the coldest water I have been in. I've jumped in the Connecticut river, early summer, temp around 60 and that was warmer with no suit. Have fun.
Water temperature is always 72 degrees, you are in a full wet suit so that helps alot!
Are manatees gone the 1st week in April
