Yes it has a fee. It closes once it snows significantly (which is probably now). Calling the forest service is the best way to answer the exact dates
The others have said it all. What they did not mention are the bears. Just don't keep ice chests where the bears can see them. (Not in the tent)
It was 12 bucks a night, and they opened the last weekend of March last year.
It's $12 per night, and is usually close until or after Memorial Day.
It is $12/day per campsite, and closed when it is snowing. I've checked it out when it is snowing and it is absolutely buried, so this is totally reasonable. Expect it to open around the end of April or so.
