Great little campground. Yes right off the road, but at night its quiet and near Jackson Lake for a nice stroll after dinner.

I visited this area on March 14th 2021. I'm not guilty, to see that this is a Beautiful place to come relax and to chill. Great place for meditation and for Scenic observation. Very Serene, calm and peaceful. Definitely worth the 35 minutes it takes to get here from Palmdale. It does snow in the winter time but in the summer time is the perfect time to relax from the heat of the desert floor. There is also fishing at the California Aqueduct. Most common fish found here is catfish.

Small little campground with only 8 sites. Most of the sites are well shaded. Sites 3-6 seem to be the most level. The bathrooms are pit toilets. The campground is right on the side of the highway. So road noise can be an issue. It was relatively quiet while we were there.

Really quite a great campground. There are only about 5 sites, so it's very cozy. Each site has a moderate amount of privacy, though you can still see other sites from your own. Please throw away your trash before you go to bed! We had an animal visitor that went through some trash and then started shaking my truck looking for more! I thought it was hilarious (and a bit terrifying), but I could easily see it being super terrifying if I were tent camping on the ground!

Plenty of parking just ahead of lake campground and no, not too many people on the weekends!
We paid 50 bucks online. But if you buy it there, its cheaper
The lake is just a short walk from the campsites. We just went this past weekend. It's really packed with day users who were getting wet in it.. I personally wouldn't get in. It's great for fishing though. Pretty cool campground overall.
Lake campground is near jackson lake (pretty low due to drought). Tent and small rv places available. Recreation.gov is how you make a reservation. When making a reservation make sure you see that you pick the right campground for the area ( Angeles National Forest or Wrightwood, ca.)Fishing license required 16 & up. Lake is stocked. Vault toilet (not flushing toilets) at campground and lake. Hope this helps.
