It is a guided tour, they do not off non-guided tours of the house. If I remember correctly there’s one-to-two dozen people in the tour. But the tour guides do a great job of gathering the group to discuss the house in each room of interest. I highly recommend going.
Great guides. Several tours to choose from. Too easy to get lost in house (160 rooms) so guided tours only. Book in advance . Had 10 on girst tour and only 6 on 2nd.
Either way it was still good my wife and daughter and her family had a blast it's worth it to go you can by two different tours Wine Tours through the house the second underneath the house so it's worth every penny
ALL tours are guided. Main tour is ~12. Explore More tour is ~8. I highly suggest buying tickets well in advance.
Tours of smal groups. Reserve early as possible to get desired time together

I've been there last week. My group was 16. I recommend this too.
Guided, about 10-12 people in the normal tour, I saw 6-8 people in the 'explore more' tour that goes through extra parts of the mansion
